In this respect, we do match the stereotype of being an exceptionally well-educated group. It is not easy to find data on qualification levels for the general population in the UK, but figures from Higher Education Student Data (www.hesa.ac.uk/news/11-01-2018/sfr247-higher-education-studentstatistics/qualifications) for September 2017, show that 42% of the UK population aged 21 to 64 had achieved higher education qualifications, compared to 89% in this group.
